Interview with Holly, Vocalist of Bloodstrike, done by Patrick
1.Hello Holly how are things going with you and the band these days?
Our first full-length “In death We Rot” has been out for a few months
and we are getting killer reviews, playing lots of shows, and even
working on new stuff.
2.When did you first meet the other members of BloodStrike? How did you all decide on the name BloodStrike ?
started jamming in 2013 and most of us were already friends. We
connected with our drummer, Ryan, through craigslist.org. By January of
2014 we were a solid 5-piece! Bloodstrike is: Holly Wedel – vocals. Jeff
Alexis – guitars. Joe Piker – guitars. Rhiannon Wisniewski – bass.
Ryan Alexander Bloom – drums. Bloodstrike is our name because it sounds
metal, is easy to remember, and isn’t too long!

BloodStrike have any tours or shows coming up that the fans
should watch out for this year or early 2016?
are working with promoters now to determine what festivals we can play
in 2016, and we will work to build a small tour around the festivals
once we are confirmed. We hope to know more in the next couple of
6. What have been some of BloodStrike's most memorable shows to date?
Halloween show was pretty amazing – we all dressed up as members of the
Addams family, which people loved. We also had our own Bloodstrike Red
Ale up at Black Sky Brewery on tap for that show!
you handle the vocals for the band, when did you become
interested in growling/singing? Do you do anything special to
keep your throat and voice healthy?
A very long time ago- since high school! I drink a LOT of tea and do a lot of vocal exercises before practice and shows.
8. What does underground metal mean to you?
Anything brutal, heavy, and sick. Carnage
9. Besides old-school death metal do you listen to any other metal styles? What about non-metal music?
of course. I listen to regular, classic heavy metal like Priest, Dio,
Ozzy. As far as non-metal I’d have to say Sarah Brightman.

11. Who are some of your favorite actors and actresses?
Jack Nicholson comes to mind. And for comedy, Jack Black.
12.When not working on music or band business what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
There’s a song I wrote called Sex, Satan, and Beer. That covers most of it.
