1. How would you describe your music?

It is always hard to describe our genre. Not because our music would be anything out of ordinary or ...god forbid...sophisticated. We all like thrash metal but we’re not good enough to play that fast. And we’re not heavy metal because our vocalist is too brutal. Speed metal comes closest but not all our songs are fast (although most are). So we usually brand ourselves as speed-heavy metal.

2. What gave you the idea for the album title?

Our previous front man moved for work to Singapore (although we are always teasing him that he really just went to bang Asian hookers). He told us about the law there. The law is called “Outrage of Modesty”. It describes proper behavior and conduct that one should adhere to when in public. Or you can face jail time. Some of the details of this law are pretty ridiculous. In this age of political correctness we thought we would defile that law by making it the title of our sleazy, unsophisticated and inappropriate record.

3. Do you work together with others in the writing process?

No, we usually write the songs by ourselves, fueled by as much booze as we can drink while still being productive.

4. How much time to do you take record songs?

It took us quite a while to record our first album since it was the first time in the studio for many band members. It took us a few months of intermittent visits to the studio. Usually during the weekends since we’re quite busy with our jobs and families during weekdays.

5. Does this release differ from past music releases? How?

“Outrage of Modesty” is our first release. It sure won’t be the last one. We are busy writing songs for the next one.

6. Do you like to change it up for each release with lyrical themes?

We don’t plan to make drastic changes with lyrics on the next album. They will be rude, straight to the point and metal as fuck.

7. Where do you draw your influences and inspirations from?

We ride on the shoulders of giants and take much inspiration from the bands that did all this before us. Bands like Motorhead, Exciter, Metallica, Sodom, Destruction and many others. All this music combined with temporary situation in the world gives us a lot to think about. And we put much of that in our lyrics. Or sometimes we just want to have some fun and write totally non-serious, almost goofy lyrics.

8. What has been the most enjoyable thing you have done as a musician/singer?

We are very good friends in the band. We enjoy every moment of our time together. Especially when we go for a road trip on a short tour or a gig in distant city. We go crazy, listen to other bands and drink a lot. We keep it simple and enjoy the metal life.

9. What do you feel is the biggest challenge going forward with your career?

We try to think not too much of it as a career. We all already have pretty demanding jobs. Metal is our release valve to relax, enjoy beer and make music. We would certainly like to bring it to as many people as possible. Biggest challenge, in our opinion, is getting enough exposure. Even with internet and fast exchanges of information, there are so many bands out there that it is sometimes hard to leave your mark. For example, I’m listening to a lot of metal. And still discover awesome new bands every day.

10. What do you enjoy outside of music?

Every band member has their own interests beside the band. Some like to repair cars, some like mountaineering or playing video games. Just normal people, really. Except our solo guitar player. He is lazy fuck and does nothing productive in his spare time.
